Sales Representative, Kavango Region

About the Role

The Simpex Sales Representative reports directly to the Sales Operations Manager and is required to represent Simpex Principals to a customer base, in accordance with a set call schedule. They do this by ensuring that the merchandising of the Principal's products is up to standard; that their inventories are well managed; and that their orders are replenished timeously. They also negotiate deals with stores within set pricing parameters and implement and execute promotional grids by Principal.

Experience & Requirements

• Some experience in Sales is considered an advantage.
• A completed matric/grade 12 is essential.
• Valid Drivers License is essential.
• A tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing or similar is considered an advantage.
• Must be a Namibian citizen.
• Must have own vehicle.
• Must be computer literate and proficient with mobile technology i.e. smart phones/tablets.
• A proven track record of success, demonstrating:
- drive
- a customer service orientation
- communication skills
- negotiation skills
- time management
- leadership skills (works with a team of merchandisers)
- presentation skills
• Proficiency in CRM and sales management software is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A completed matric/grade 12 is essential.

• A tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing or similar is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Generating prospective customers through "warm and cold calling".
• Planning customer visits and meetings and conducting Store Audits to maximise opportunities in the trade, by ensuring forward share, pricing and promotional strategies are implemented.
• Track activities, attend weekly sales meetings and update team on progress of specific activations.
• Develop, learn and communicate specific sales propositions to customers and the merchandising team.
• Implementing company sales strategy and plan.
• Attainment of all set targets and achievement of KPI's.
• Keeps up-to-date knowledge of our brands, products and competitor activities.
• Working with other teams within the company to open new opportunities for the business.
• Collecting and verifying market information for micro and macro market analysis.
• Manage Merchandising Team attendance and performance.
