About the Role
To fulfil the function of an outsourced Supply Chain Manager on behalf of the Principal.
The Account Executive achieves this by:
• closely monitoring the performance of their outsourced network
• identifying issues (related to customers, warehouses/transporters and SKUs), and
• finding sustainable solutions through collaboration with the Principal.
The service provided is intended to build efficiency into Supply Chain processes and to enable Principals to focus on growth and profitability.
Experience & Requirements

• Knowledge of transportation, distribution, warehousing, and supply chain processes.

Qualifications
• A completed matric and tertiary qualification in Supply Chain is essential.
• A valid South African Drivers license is essential (the role requires travel).
Responsibilities
Day-to-day affairs and Principal satisfaction
In order to add value to the Principal and to provide a complete supply chain service, the Account Executive will be required to ensure SLA performance by the warehouses through tight inventory controls, and to report back any deviance from SOP to Team Leaders and Principals where applicable. They will be required to closely manage orders by handling no stocks and failed deliveries (updating where needed), and to ensure NOD/NDD alignment.
They will be required to:
• Track and coordinate all Principal specific activities, including (but not limited to) conducting order maintenance (ensuring all orders nationally are planned on hold orders are monitored and EDI errors are resolved).
• Provide daily support to both the principal and depots on any current issues.
• Communicate with Principals on all order-related issues and find solutions.
• Coordinate with transport, warehouse, and operations teams.
• Maintain and track depot stock issues nationally.
• Build and maintain relationships and trust with Principals.
• Maintain communication with Principals and resolve conflicts where necessary.
• Conduct on-going logistics reviews and troubleshoot challenges.
• Manage product expansion by completing documentation and submitting for loading onto system.
• Report on dead stock and overstocks.
• Handle demand management.
• Analytical requirements for Principals, depots and internal departments.
• Ability to work across diverse ERP environments, integrating business processes and ensuring seamless communication between customers, operations, and finance team.
Business reporting and basic business analysis:
• Understand Principal reporting requirements and empower them to produce/reproduce ad hoc reports (on the system).
• Prepare regular Principal reports as per Principal SLA requirements.
• Analyse trends and identify Principal business needs and propose appropriate solutions up the line to the relevant Director/Principal Account Manager.
• Manage and growth a portfolio of new and existing principals.
• Recommend further logistic services and BI tools to enhance their current business
New Principal take-on's:
• Follow up on deadlines identified on project plan/hand over notes.
• Conduct training with Principals and Agents (physical and remote).
