Infrastructure Services Work Experience Opportunity

About the Role
IT Dynamics is offering a 12-month work experience opportunity to a recent IT-graduate (applicants must have completed at least a 3-year IT Degree or Diploma). The primary intention of this opportunity is to provide learners with a chance to put into practice what they have studied, and to gain confidence and competence in a real-world setting. The role itself is positioned within the Infrastructure Services Support Team, with training and experience taking place predominantly in this context. Training, resources, mentoring and coaching provided to the graduate are therefore geared to equip them to operate successfully in this environment.
This opportunity offers a stipend of R4700 per month. Preference will be given to candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds. Applicants must meet the criteria stipulated below to be considered for the role.
Experience & Requirements
• Graduated within the last 24 months
• Must not have held a job in IT before (i.e. no prior IT work experience)
• Must enjoy analytical and problem-solving activities
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Technical IT knowledge and an inclination towards technical work (see responsibilities section)

A 3 Year Tertiary Degree / Diploma in IT
Responsibilities
Workstation Setups
• Setup of new workstations
• Installing custom applications
• Handover of device to the user
• Re-imaging and returning of old hardware
Service Desk
• Fielding, qualifying and assigning tickets correctly
• Resolving tickets
• Escalating when required
• Attending site visits with the roaming technician
