Key Accounts Manager, Nationwide

About the Role

The Key Accounts Manager (KAM) reports to the Sales and Key Accounts Executive and works closely with the Principal to grow revenue by managing multiple key accounts without compromising on the quality of services provided.

The primary mandate is to use an analytical and data driven approach to:

• implement the Company's business objectives by understanding their game plan, strategy, products, and brand
• develop and negotiate trading arrangements with the Trade, including promotional grids, pricing policies, and rebates
• actively seek new sales opportunities

Experience & Requirements

• Must be a Namibian Citizen
• Experience as a KAM in the FMCG industry
• Computer literate (able to use MS Office suite proficiently)
• A valid Namibian driver's license is essential
• Willingness to travel (the role requires extensive travel)

Planning skills and the ability to execute plans

• Negotiating and conflict management skills
• Strong commercial insights and reasoning ability
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work across teams
• Ability to work with and interpret large amounts of data
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of the industry

Qualifications

• A completed Sales or Marketing degree (essential)
• Honours in Sales or Marketing (advantageous)

Responsibilities


The initial key responsibilities include:

• Negotiate trading packages
• Develop a favourable relationship status with Key Accounts
• Identify new business opportunities for Key Accounts
• Develop Annual Key Account plans for negotiation and execution
• Contribute to the creation of the Company Annual Sales and Marketing Strategies for implementation
• Develop working relationships with key stakeholders (Sales Ops, Agents, BI, etc.)
• Achieve Volume and Value / Profitability budget
• Attend all meetings and account reviews
