Sales Executive, Windhoek (Director Level)

About the Role
The Sales Executive reports to the Managing Director and leads the Sales Operations and Key Accounts teams. The person is responsible for driving revenue growth, market share, and profitability by developing strategic sales plans, managing key accounts, and leading teams to exceed targets.
The primary mandate is to use an analytical and data driven approach to lead the teams to:
• Implement the Company's business objectives by understanding their game plan, strategy, products, and brands.
• Develop and negotiate trading arrangements with the Trade, including promotional grids, pricing policies, and rebates.
• Actively seek new sales opportunities.
• Leverage information technology to achieve competitive advantage.
Experience & Requirements
• Namibian citizen.
• Extensive experience in FMCG sales, with a proven record of exceeding targets in a leadership role.
• Deep understanding of the FMCG market, distribution channels, and trade marketing.
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical abilities for sales data interpretation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
• Honours / Masters degree advantageous.
Responsibilities
• Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, budgets, and forecasts to achieve company goals.
• Key Account Management: Build and maintain high-level relationships with major retailers, distributors, and key accounts.
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor the teams to drive performance and ensure sales targets are met.
• Market & Data Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour to adjust strategies.
• Market Coverage & Distribution: Expand the customer base by identifying new business opportunities and increasing product distribution (listing new products).
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee field sales and ensure effective product merchandising, while collaborating with the supply chain (Marketing/Logistics).
• Negotiation: Assist with negotiation of contracts and pricing agreements with customers.
• Sales Force Automation: Champion the standardisation and automation processes within the sales function.
• Mentoring & Support: Provide support and guidance to the teams, including training on tools, processes, and techniques.
