About the Role
The Supply Chain Team Leader is responsible for end-to-end leadership, optimisation and execution of supply chain operations, including warehousing, distribution, remote sites replenishment and transport. The role ensures efficient, cost-effective delivery performance while maintaining quality and compliance in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Experience & Requirements
• 8–10 years’ experience in supply chain or FMCG
• 5+ years leadership experience
• Strong ERP/WMS experience
• Demonstratable strength in warehousing and distribution operations including WMS and 3PL management

Responsibilities
1. Warehousing and inventory optimisation
• Diagnose and resolve systemic issues currently affecting warehouse performance and Outbound flow.
• Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking, dispatch).
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and stock control.
• Optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation and productivity.
• Implement and enhance WMS and operational processes.
• Drive continuous improvement through lean and best-practice methodologies.
• Ensure stock availability aligned with demand requirements.
2. Transport and distribution oversight
• Ensure on-time and in-full delivery performance across all channels.
• Optimise route planning, fleet utilisation and delivery scheduling.
• Manage and monitor third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
• Control and reduce transport costs and inefficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with vehicle safety, maintenance and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain robust Proof of Delivery (POD) and tracking systems.
3. Leadership and team development
• Lead and manage multi-functional supply chain teams.
• Establish a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement.
• Implement training, coaching and development plans.
• Drive employee engagement and retention strategies.
• Ensure clear performance management frameworks and KPIs.
• Develop and mentor employees across multi-functional supply chain teams.
4. Compliance, risk and governance
• Ensure compliance with:
- OHS Act and safety regulations;
- Food safety and FMCG standards; and
- Transport and legal compliance.
• Implement and monitor risk management frameworks and controls.
• Drive adherence to company policies, SOPs and best practices.
• Manage and reduce operational and financial risks (loss control).
• Ensure facilities meet audit and compliance requirements.
5. Financial and performance management
• Develop and manage operational and capital expenditure budgets.
• Monitor and control supply chain costs (warehousing, transport).
• Analyse and report on financial and operational performance measures.
• Drive cost-efficiency initiatives and productivity improvements.
• Ensure optimal asset and resource utilisation.
• Provide input into strategic financial planning.
