Warehouse Assistant, New Germany, KwaZulu-Natal

Key responsibilities will include:

• Executing warehousing functions as required:
o Attending to general housekeeping and cleaning as per cleaning schedule and requirements within the designated area.
o Repacking a pallet with the correct quantity of products to fit into the racks according to the correct stacking pattern.
o Assisting with picking as and when required (WMS and Non-WMS).
o Assisting with smalls receiving.

• Adhering to Health and Safety requirements, including but not limited to:
o Adhering to company health and safety regulations.
o Wearing Personal Protective Equipment as supplied by the company.

• Contributing to a cost-effective warehouse operation:
o Reporting any damages/breakages to floor team leader.
o Reporting all short findings to floor/inventory team leader.
o Suggesting any improvements to team leaders which can save the company time or money.
o Ensuring safe stacking of products onto pallets for put away/transport purposes.
o Providing quality assurance (identify poor stacking, labelling and packing).

• Ensuring highest possible productivity in workplace:
o Ensuring that continuous packing/cleaning takes place throughout the day.
o Liaising with Team Leader regarding work related issues.
o Attending team meetings for valued operational input.

• Safeguarding company assets:
o Handling company products and Materials Handling Equipment with necessary care.
