About the Role
The Floor Team Leader provides support to the Warehouse Team Leader by ensuring supervision and coordination of the activities of warehouse staff, including picking, packing, dispatching, and receiving. Plan and prioritize work assignments for the team to ensure optimal workflow and productivity. Train and develop team members on proper warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.

Qualifications
• An appropriate warehousing qualification would be advantageous
• Supervisory qualification would also be beneficial
• Experience in the FMCG and Logistics Industry
• A good working knowledge of health and safety and security requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques may be advantageous
• Fork Lift Truck license may be required
• Knowledge of any ERP accounting system
• IT literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft 365
Responsibilities
Goods Receipting & Inbound
• Oversee the management of inbound processing, including goods receipting and put away within agreed timelines.
• Ensure quality of goods are check and that any non-conformances are reported and claimed within specific timelines. This may include reworking of items damaged upon receipt if required.
Picking, Packing and Despatch
• Manage the picking, packing and despatch teams, working closely with Dispatch Controller to ensure proper organisation to allocating pick sheets by route and principal.
• Ensure outbound merchandise is packed and consolidated to standard, labelled correctly, and despatched in a safe manner.
• WMS management, truck tracking, performance reporting of teams required.
• Maintain and manage staff productivity measures.
• Truck dispatch – ensuring proper control of Trip Sheets.
• Pallet Control Register for Carriers – ensuring brown and CHEP pallet issues and returns are recorded.
Debrief and Rework
• Ensure Trips Sheets are debriefed correctly and POD’s are returned within specific timelines and correctly processed.
• Ensure Debrief Cleared daily (put-away on valid credit note).
• Management of Rework functions as required.
• Ensure safe and correct disposal of damaged and expired stock.
General Warehouse Operations
• Ensure stock locations are maintained and that stock is rotated weekly.
• Assist with maintaining Short-dated Stock Register (4months) updated monthly.
• Ensure Warehouse cleaning schedule maintained.
• Ensure Tag Counts are executed in accordance with monthly Principal Count Schedule, assist with investigating any variances.
• Maintain OSH & Compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with conducting regular safety audits to maintain high safety standards.
• Implement and oversee a robust incident and hazard reporting system.
• Investigate incidents and hazards and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
